The design of PhantomPak was intrigued during an aerial filming trip from US to Kenya's Safari and the island of Madagascar. We wished for a tough and compact backpack instead of a heavy case during the month-long trip. The backpack has to survive dusty environment, day-long rain, and bumpy roads. It has to be light and comfortable to carry during long hiking trips and easily cleaned. It has to be compact enough to fit all airliners' overhead compartment and sturdy enough to take the grind in the luggage pile. The handle and straps must be super heavy-duty and it has to also accommodate extra batteries, prop guards, range extending antennas and controller harness. We couldn't find one that fits the bill, so we swipe out our drawing board...

Instead of using pre-cut soft foam cores, PhantomPak P4 uses EVA dividers, which is impossible to break and leaves much more storage room for things like FPV antennas and controller harness. We learned from our Safari trip that versatility is important, because everyone has something different for their drone.
